Igor Popov

Prior to taking the helm at bluewater, Igor worked under the Cerberus portfolio of companies at Remington Arms, first as the post-acquisition Chief Restructuring Officer and later as the Chief Supply Chain Officer. At Cerberus, he was involved in the due diligence process for acquisitions as well as the development of operational restructuring plans. Prior to Cerberus, Igor worked on a contract basis for private equity firms and investors. Among his many engagements was service as President of a high-end manufacturer of offshore sportfishing and inshore shallow water boats, for which he raised capital, developed the business plan, established a dealer network and streamlined operations. As a principal consultant at TRG (The Recovery Group), he assumed a number of consulting and interim management roles across a diverse range of industries.
Igor began his career in product development in the automobile industry in both the United States and in Germany. He earned his degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and his MBA from the Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.

With
marketing and communications experience that spans the public,
private and academic sectors, Tom joined bluewater after four years
as Director of Communications for the City of Somerville. He has
also served as Senior Writer in the Office of the President at MIT
and Marketing Communications Manager at Empirix, Inc. He is a
graduate of Northeastern University and lives in Somerville with his
wife and daughter.
